Beatriz Ferreira | Winner of the 3rd Edition
Beatriz Ferreira is 21 years old and was one of the winners of the 3rd edition of the Portugal’s Future Hoteliers Summit and, as a result, she had the opportunity to represent Portugal in the 9th edition of the Young Hoteliers Summit at the École Hotelière de Lausanne, Switzerland.
While doing her Bachelor’s degree at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (ULHT), Beatriz was a present student in the curricular and extracurricular activities of her university, being several times hostess in many diverse events and even the coordinator of one of them. This led her to receive the Recognition and Merit Gold Medal from the hands of the Director and Administrator of ULHT.
Beatriz finished her degree in Tourism this year and did her internship in the F&B department at Penha Longa Resort, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, in Sintra, but her passion for events and tour guiding stands out. That said, now she is working as a Conference Event Coordinator, also in Penha Longa, and looks forward to take a postgraduate degree in that area.
Beatriz considers herself a creative, communicative, hardworking, self-demanding and, above all, persistent person.
André Toste | Winner of the 3rd Edition
I am André Toste, I come from Porto and study in the area of tourism. I am passionate
about sports, about life and above all for meeting new cultures.
I´ve been involved in other sectors like Marketing and Sociology, but it was in tourism
that I´ve found my true passion. The ability to understand and demystify the various
concepts of tourism is what really motivates me.
In 2017 I had the privilege of participating and being part of the PFHS winning team,
where I met fantastic people who made me grow, just like my two teammates.
The fact that I participated in this contest, besides helping me as a student, opened me a
few doors and offered me a lot of professional contacts.
At the moment, I am finishing my degree and intend to continue my studies in this area.
The most important thing in tourism is to be ourselves and to offer those who visit us
