Raúl Ribeiro Ferreira / ADHP President
He began in 1994 in Hotel Baía (Cascais) as a Cooking intern. In 1997 he assumed the direction of the Oitavos Restaurant and Tea House and in 2003 the management of Estalagem Muchaxo Hotel (4 star), a position he still holds today. Between 2006 and 2013 he was Director and administrator of Hotel Palma in Monforte.
He assumed, between 2014 and 2015, the coordination of the degree in Hotel Management from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management of the Guarda Polytechnic Institute. He is titled as a Specialist Lecture in Hospitality Scientific field and teaches in Lusófona University, among other schools.
He is a member and active partner of ADHP – Portuguese Association of Hotel Managers since 1994 where he is the President since 2013. He is also a consultant and advisor to several tourist organizations, hotels and catering, in mainland Portugal and Angola.

António Melo / ADHP Board Member
He has a professional experience of over 20 years in Management functions and management of tourist and hotel companies; consultant and advisor to several tourist organizations, hotel and catering, in mainland Portugal and Islands, Spain, Brazil and Angola.
Has played operational and departmental leadership roles in several hotels, as well as Director of Hotel. Between February 2009 and January 2015, was the Assistant Director of the Tourism and Hospitality School of the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, with which accumulated the Coordination of degrees in Hotel Management and Restaurant & Catering. It is titled as a teacher specialist in Hotel and Restaurant.
He is a member and active partner of ADHP – Association of Directors of Hotel de Portugal since 1994 where he is member of the management since 2013.
He has the Technical Course and Hotel Management Technique for EHT Porto, Bachelor Degree in Management and Hotel Management from the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Estoril.
He graduated in Tourism by the Institute of Administration and Management and a Masters in Management with a dissertation in the field of Quality Management, entitled “The excellence of the services as a competitive advantage of hotel companies” – University of Beira Interior.
Currently, besides teaching, he is a partner of Monfortur – Business and Consulting, and develops a doctorate in Education at the University of Aveiro – Portugal, which investigates the relationship between the education and the labor market in the activity of Hospitality Management.
